I've had an alpine cda-9815 deck for quite some time and whats been bothering me recently is there is hardly and bass or treble coming from my speakers. I know its because there is no bass and treble setting like on my old deck where it was 1-5 settings for each but that there is rather an equalizer. Does anyone know what I should do to get some descent bass and treble with this deck? Like equalizer settins and everything?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

turn the volume up. and im pretty sure there is bass and treble settings on the deck as i used to own one, just look through the menus. i think all you have to do is push the volume **** in and the settings are there.

Actually the 9815 only has eq,I usually have mine set at flat, but when i need more bass i flip it to "rock"
I havent quite figured out how to ajust the eq cause ive found these settings to fit the bill just right so have not tinkered with it too much.

You can up the bass and treble with eq settings, just have to figure out how, sorry i cant explain the procedure cause ive not figured the damm thing out yet myself!

Do you have a sub(s)?

Make sure your mx button at the bottom left is turned on. And you should have plenty of base.

Thanks for replies. My mx button is set to on and its at level 3. I had a subwoofer in my car but it barely got loud so I took it out, I know its becuase of the deck though the bass setting is very low.

Does anyone know a good Eq setting for max bass and treble?

Its really driving me crazy because I am considering putting in my old $50 deck since it had way better bass and treble.

I would appreciate any help once again, thanks.

Have you looked through the manual? If you don't have the manual, you can d/l one at www.alpine1.com in the Tech Center.

if you're sure that it's not a powering issue with your sub (loose wires, bad amp, blown sub) then you just gotta learn how to adjust the eq settings on the 9815 i got the same on the 9813 model and i can create an eq curve that will drown the hell out of all the treble!

what is your setting for your sub? push in the volume **** and turn it up to 12ish, Its a -15 counter, so at 0 it's normal output for other decks if that makes sense.

Some functions require a tap and then hold of the button, others simply just hold. Also, use the band to flip through the eq and power to up the "width"

But I'm sure you dont have the sub out turn up.
