getting people addicted to other brands

Addicted?
Yeah, there's certain brands that I think people come to like when they try them out first hand. I've come to like / know of a few companies and products through friend's demos and what they use in their own vehicles.

I'm much more "addicted" to finding the best performance for the dollar. People are far too influenced by hearing a brand name IMO. This is why conglomerates buy out "brands" simply for the name recognition/popularity. Because people will buy it
Then these companies make their "investment" return as tons of money, generally by driving that "brand" into the ground using crap part/service, essentially taking advantage of peoples "addictions" to said brand.
Hertz is better than Sparkomatic for sure though...
... or is it lmao

I've had good luck with my JBL's as well (its whats available locally), there are many brands I would love to get the chance to demo, but unless they are in someones vehicle I'm not necessarily going to drive 2 hours to "demo" something else. People can tell me all day long that "such and such is the best" but my wallet just doesn't up up wide enough to take the tour. I hear a lot about Audison, but not much about RCF.
I've been running the same set of JBL Power series subs and components for the past couple of years, you can say what you will, but who makes concert sound?

This usually happens to people who are just on the peripheral of the hobby, like girlfriends. In the 90s my girlfirend/wife would have nothing but RF gear.
For guys that should know better but behave this way, we just call them fanboys

^^ Probably another reason why us newbies are so hesitate to get into this sport because no matter what we say we get ridiculed.
There is nothing wrong with liking a brand and sticking to it?
Plus people you consider "fanboys" are the people who are gonna start to build up thier system (like me) and actually try to get into SPL in the first place.

Defensive much? Who was ridiculing you?
Brand loyalty is fine. Blindly limiting yourself to a brand and proclaming it to be the be-all end-all because of what you only see or read makes someone a fanboy. They don't have to be a noob, just a rube..

now the funny part of this, we want to do a quick audio upgrade by just buying some drop in coaxial speakers into the factory positions but Hertz doesn't make a 4x6 for the back speakers. Iam having a very hard time convincing her to use a different brand for there.
