Here are a few goodies.
If you have the ability (and I use the word ability loosely) to cut a hole in your truck, can't you cut a trim panel and upholster it?
How many holes does Rockford give you on their speakers? What's that, like a hundred? How many do you need to use? Oh, about two!
If you look at this you can see that the box is disintegrating, generally falling apart and growing penicillin, how versatile!

O.K. this guy lives in Ontario, he was passing through and stopped in so I could fix his 1 small problem, when he turned on the headlights his deck shut off. This is in a Dodge Shadow, I know everyone already knows what the problem was, so here is some pics.
The headunit "install".
I wonder why his radio reception sucked?
He actually had all the factory speakers disconnected, so these were his only source of sound (other than a sub(I don't even bother to look in the trunk))

He had an amp running everything, his deck had F/R/Sub outs, he had RCA's going from the rear outs to the front ins on the amp, A LOC from the front speaker outs to the rear ins on the amp (output bridged to the sub).

Here is a nice local one, you can all tell who sold the equipment I am sure if you know Medicien Hat's market. A guy comes in to have his Kicker L7 installed with a Rockford monoblock amp. Here's what I got to work with.
Cool, looking good so far, wait a minute.
As you can see, I think the prefab box was made for a shallower sub than the L7, I guess the L5 isn't as deep .
Don't worry though we can fix that.
He said the salesman told him to chisel out the back a bit to get the sub to fit. That second pic was with that big hole chiseled out and the sub still didn't fit. Anyways, I cleaned up the hole (it was through the slot port wall in the back, not the box) sealed it with a plug made from a couple pieces of MDF and just inverted the sub in the box (duh).
