well i have already ordered the red top. so it's a done deal, and like you guy's always say suport your local stores so i did. im not about to drive half an hour to buy a battery that i cna buy here in town.

hum how much did you get the red top for ? i could of sworn i seen the optima yellow top at costo for 180 + tax its the d34 or w/e 750CCA im really considering to buy it......also ii think the red top was lower in price.......

You guys all forgot the issue of warranty. I'm almost certain that when a Yellow Top is used as a starting battery you lose at least half the duration of the warranty, if not all.
Furthermore, he lives in Alberta. From what I hear it gets DAMN cold there in the winter. Red Tops have more cold cranking amps than Yellow Tops. It seems logical to me that he get a Red Top over a Yellow Top because it better suits his purposes. [img]graemlins/thumb.gif[/img]

ya i gotthe battery and was putting it in today. i discovered that i have to modifie my car if i want it to fit. so i said hells no and returned it. i'll just find a battery that will fit better. the termails are to close together.

^^ Buy a battery that has a model that is meant for your car. I would suggest a Motomaster Eliminator. It is a good battery with a good warranty for a fairly cheap price and it will suit your needs just fine.
If you get a model of battery that isn't intended for your car most warranties will be halved or voided altogether.
