does anyone know how much a sheat of MDF costs at the home deput by any chance? I Asked my father-in-law to help me he said he couldn't do that so it looks like I will have to get home deput to cut the peices for me. unless anyone on here lives in Peterborough Ontario?

About $35 per sheet for 3/4" MDF. You could build it yourself, or you could talk to Jalat, he's around TO but can build a really nice enclosure. Even that one your looking at. He might even welcome the challenge. Not that it's that hard to build, just more work.

I'd send him a PM and see what he'd charge. Doesn't hurt to find out, and the finished product would be well worth the little extra in cash. You couldn't buy that box built already for cheaper than Jalat will build it and it will be the exact same.

brad nail it, bam bam bam done! (if you have a compressor that is) The brads are there to hold the wood together while the glue dries, same purpose as screws. I just find myself too lazy to predrill then screw it,lol! Glue is all you really need for most if not all properly built box, once its dry you pretty much need a hammer to take it apart but it will split the wood most likely. Oh and clamps are handy too.

Not sure if it was Rona or HD, the last full sheets I saw were $36 each....cuts are $1 each, I think you get 3 for free per sheet......

I'd be happy to help with this, if you can get to Mississauga one weekend let me know......

I went to buy some MDF this morning but wasn't sure if I would have needed a full sheet it looked really big to me the had 48X48 sheets of MDF to and 24 by 48 I think sheets.

Do you think I would need a full 4X8 sheet?
