I'm looking to purchase a good pair of 6.5" coaxials for my main speakers. I'll be running them off of two channels on a JL e4300 (about 45watts@4ohm per channel). The brands I'm currently looking at (but haven't really listened to yet) are JL, MB Quart, Polk, Boston Acoustics, and Alpine. I'm likely looking to spend between $125-$200. Any recommendations on these speakers or on any other brands I may have not mentioned? Looking for something with a strong mid-bass, and I prefer softer highs. I don't know how much you can ask for out of a coaxial though.

JL makes some great coaxials. I have a set of XR525 CXi in my car, and they're quite awesome. Ran me $389 authorized, mind you.

I definitely recommend listening to as many sets as you can before buying, though. I once had a set of Focals that could kill you with the treble...

If you are looking for some cheap 5-1/4's to tie you over I have 2 Bazooka's for 20 bucks + shipping.
