Alright, I've got a friend who wants to sell me the following:

2 12" Pioneer Subs in box (Probably THESE)
MTX Blue Thunder Pro 752 Amp ( HERE )
All Wires Included
Asking $350 or $400 but I suspect he'd take $300
Says nothing is blown and it all works great.

Is that a good deal? And would it sound decent?

offer him 2 bills see what his reaction is, and if hes a freind selling you blown gear...hes not really a freind....take it for a test drive in your car see how it sounds see if its worth it.

I would make an offer on the amp. Those MTX Pros are excellent amps and you probably pick up a second amp for your highs.

So the amp is half decent??
Another friend of mine (who's knowledge I tend to question) said it had next to no power at all. This isn't true then?

The amp will definitely put out atleast what its rated at. Those subs arent the greatest, but if youre just looking to street beat then they would probably suit the purpose nicely.

Id say $300 for the 2 subs and amp and box and wires isnt bad at all.

I'm not even positive those are hte right subs, All he told me was 2 12" pioneer subs so I went on the site and picked the lowest end 12" pioneer subs on there as to not be disappointed, so the subs may even be better

Find out for sure which model sub they are. Pioneer makes quite a range.
Makes it easier to decide if the amp is right for the two of them.

well the amp and the two subs is what he is using now, so I can garentee that the amp will be able to power both of them
