Cool

Hi Guys,

I can get an Alpine CDA-9855 for around $500 taxes in, with warranty at my local car audio store. Is that a good price?

i heard there have been problems with the 9855 and that most people are suggesting to just stick with the 9835. of course, that's just what i heard and i don't know for sure as alpine is almost always on the money.

is that a good price? yeah, it's a pretty good price on that unit.

there was a recall on the first batch of 9855's that went out there was issues with the glide touch..... now are you sure that it's a 9855?? Because I have been waiting for some time for my batch of them (probably 4 weeks). And YES that is an amazing deal. I use the 9835 and I like it quite a bit, there are great features on it and if you hook the unit power right to the car battery it makes a world of difference. Enjoy

what difference does it make. i was under the impression that you only hook the pwer wire directly to the battery jif your using the internal amp.Are you using internal amps? have you tried it both ways, hooked up to the battery and not

well he never specified what type of application he was going to use the deck for....... so I just figured it was a no amp setup and tossed him my two cents...... but for the first bit when I was using stock speakers in my car I hooked it up with the propr harness then heard from someone that if you do a direct connect it's a better power supply for the internal amp and it turned out true it made a world of difference with just the stock speakers

haha someone, you cant even say my name eh
yeah it makes a huge difference with alpines higher power decks. when i first tried the 9835 i thought it was the biggest pos ever till i hooked it up to tha battery. i went a lil over kill 10ga right to the deck but it sounded amazing, running 3 way mode comp set right off the deck and a single sub. its a deadly setup for the budget minded.

Pretty hard to pull 200 watts of power thru a stock harness....no matter what brand of deck.
