type S 10" dual voice.. i put it in a 1.1cu.ft box, and its running off a 250watt RMS MTX thunder amp, at 2 ohms. The sub is very punchy but i'm having a little trouble tuning it.

It sounds great so far though.. Most people are surprised its just one ten. Still.. its not as good at playing long notes as i expected, but is perfect for rap. i was hoping it would produce long bass notes better for rock... any suggestions? or should i just be happy with what i got (cuz it still sounds great)

one thing about olds cutlass cieras... they keep the sound in great even without sound dampening. I don't have any in there, and you can't even tell theres a sub in the car from outside, but as soon as you get in that changes Very minimal buzzing too. None in the trunk, and almost none in the dash.

If your running a sealed box, you might want to try a ported one. Theres a big difference in overall output, especially those low long notes.

If the sub is designed for sealed (not familiar with type S) and you have it in the correct box and it looks to be adequately powered you might try to find different ways of firing it in the trunk to help response. Also, help it breath into the cabin if the rear seats don't fold down make a vent in the rear deck or take out the rear speakers leaving the empty holes.

One 10" sealed with 250rms isn't going to rip the car apart either remember.

i was considering that anyway(venting the rear deck) cuz you can hear it way more when you listen from the back with the trunk open. thanks for the advice.. i'll let you know if i try it and it helps
