Well... what we all fear the most has happened to me today.

Got to my car to find out all of my gear has been stolen.

My Clarion HU, JBL amp, and Kicker sub.

I'm kinda pissed, kinda sad. Mostly mad.

The HU was acting up lately. It's 5 years old so I don't mind having to get a new one.

The sub I was planning on taking out shortly anyways and giving away to a needy member of the board.

The amp was still good but ohwell.

Now I've got a reason to buy more stuff.

The big problem is that I park at a Park&Ride and take the bus in to work from there. From the sounds of it a few other people got hit too.

There's no security or anything and I have always been too lazy/cheap to get an alarm.

The funny part about this whole thing is that I miss the damn box the most. It was the first box I had ever built, and did it with my dad. (father/son project kinda) We actually took our time and tried to do a good job on it as opposed to all of my hacked together spl boxes.

Fortunately they didn't damage the car too badly. Just broke the plastic bezel on the front.

Bleh... thieves need to die.

murder them... find them, capture them, torture them for a month or two, then feed their still squirming bodies into a wood chipper pointed at parliment hill.

No doubt, I would find out the number of thefts from that parking lot in the last year and the frequency of them, chances are they are being done by the same idiots and have been caught before. I just had a deck stolen from the shop in Nanaimo, 3 days later we found out exactly who did it and where they live.......where to go with it from here......

Nope.. no alarm.. don't worry I know I should have had one.

Not to make excuses or anything but I really like installing things on my own. I just know that I don't have the ability to install an alarm.

I knew it was a risk I was taking and I accept the results. Still doesn't make it fun though

Besides, I honestly didn't trust any of the shops in my city. There is an installer from Ottawa on the board so I'll probably go see him to get the stuff put back in when it's time.
