more than most people make in a year, each amp is 1000$, there's 8, f#1 processor 5000, that 13 g's already, and we havent even talked about speakers, tv's, wire, head unit , batteries(4 optima group 31's), dual alternators, strutwear body accessory kit, materials (12 yards of ultraleather) , cnc cost, aluminum costs, polishimng costs, the list goes on and on, the amazing thing is weve done all this in 6 weeks, it goes to the body shop in 2 days and has to be done. the next project is a 2005 black vette that will be ultracool. i learned alot about the aluminum fab end of thing on this project and will seriously apply it in the vette, how much will that one cost? more than most people make in a year

the factory celing plugs just havent been pushed in yet. we quickly began to run out of space for things like 3 big extra batteries so on top of the wheels wells they went, perhaps the pics dont do it justice but keep in mind there is an identical cover on the drivers side as well and looks very symetrical

Blinddemonz 12-09-2004 10:08 AM

SUX 2BU 12-22-2004 05:57 PM

Cool. Wasn't the amp rack floor going to be bare alum. too?

defro13 12-22-2004 07:39 PM

no, the plan was always to cover it with matched vinyl, the back sides of all the amp mounts are polished, there is subtle l.e.d. lighting under each amplifier

PEI330Ci 12-22-2004 08:00 PM

I really like the fact that it doesn't scream "bling". It's certainly over the top, but in a tastefull way.IMO.

I know nothing of those amplifiers defro, could you give us a run down on the specs and what each of those 8 amps is powering?

Thanks,

Adam

defro13 12-22-2004 09:59 PM

the amps are avi abh1002's, each rated at 100 watts per channel. 1 amp powers the a pillar tweeters, an avi hf25d 1" silk dome tweeter, another powers the avi mnd50 2" dome midrange right beside the tweeter, another power the 2 midbass's in each door, avi bsm160's, anothe amp power the rear speakers, the avi lx express 5/25" component set, and the ramaining four each power a phoenix gold xenon x10d4 woofer. the center channel is power ed by a small alpine amp hidden in the console. the center channel is a avi cms100 4" point source coaxial. the saource is a alpine dva7996 that send firbe optic signal to a alpne pxah900 mounted in the rear ceiling, the sytem is protected by a compuistar alarm and a 80gig digital surviellance system with 4 motion sensitive camera's. the alernators are factory gm with a 250 amp solonoid. above the passenger side rear tire well is 2 optima yellow top group 31 batteries with a 3rd mounted over the drivers side rear tirewell. all rca signal cable is phoenix gold rs 27 series, the speaker cable is monster m10s, 160ft of it, monster lightspeed optical cable, phoenix gold power wire, the rear tv's are vst and the dash tv is a nesa 10.2"

Peter Barry 12-22-2004 10:51 PM

Meanwhile all these SPL freaks are saying "All those amps and only 1 woofer each?!"

I have always wanted to do a system with a dedicated amp for every speaker. The closest I came was with the Cavalier and has an amp for each side and 1 for the subs.
