it sounds pretty good so far, there is a break in period for the woofers and midbass right now, i typically would have broken them in. but at this time of year and the deadline to complete(i finished it yesterday and start a 05 vette today that is just as much work), it just didnt happen. as you know adam the pxah900 is a complex animal and i dont want to say really how it will sound in the end until ive had enough time to really explore every avenue the 900 allows, but if the 1st 3 hours of basic tuning are any indication, the decsicion to put the dome mid up high was a very good one. as it sits right this second, the tweeters are crossed over at 6.3k@24db/oct, the mids are hipassed at 400hz@30db/oct and lopasses at 6.3k@18db/oct, the midbass is hipassed at 50hz@24db/oct and lopassed at 400hz@30db/oct and the woofers are lopassed at 50hz@30db/oct. time will tell how this will sound but this h2 will be roaming around the usac circuit in the basic consumer 1200+ class

 

i decided to use 2 midbass just for added output fop the customer. my concern was that one even with a tone of power would lead to more speaker failures than i would be comfortable with because the customer likes to really get on the volume sometimes, fyi the midbass speakers are 350$ each, the midranges are 300 each and the twetters are 230 a pair, if there is a weakness in the avi line its in the tweeters but they are aware of it and are addressing that issue as we speaker and are working with another company in the design of a new tweeter

my installer donnie michell and we all pitched in on little things here and there but donnie did all the custom builld stuff

 

we had the h2 logo cut on a cnc machine and then polished then we mounted it to the door, a local company called aqualu did the cnc work, a friend of mine built and welded the rear battery boxes and alternator mounts, everything else we did. we spent alot of time just on speaker placement, the idea for the amp rack came to me in the middle of the night and once i decided on the way it was going to look, we tried to figure out a way to build it using materials that we typically use, mdf, fibregalss etc, but it became apparent very early that none of those materials would work and that some type of metal would have to be used, aluminum was decided on to be the best due to its weight and polishing characteristics, once the amp pedastles were built we decided to use more aluminum in the new dash vents and h2 signs and so on, i the end the customer was very happy and i was happy that we did it from start to finish in only 7 weeks

 

you must have a masters degree in the obvious, who elses boat would they be off of, i had to go all the way to reed point marina in port moody and steal them without anyone noticing, after i pressure washed your moms window licker drool off them they were good as new, tell her i said thanks
