Im looking to buy some stereo equipment directly from Sounddomain. Before i had them ship it to a friend, then ship it to me.

But anyways, im wondering if there are massive duties or brokerage fee's or anything to that sort when buying from them.

Ive bought from there before, and they ship with USPS which doesnt have huge brokerage fees like UPS. You still have to pay the taxes on the value of whatever you buy though.

And you still have no warranty in Canada, meaning if the thing does break down, you must send it back on your dime and time to have it warrantied in the US. Things take time to come across the border, quite a bit of time......as in 2 weeks later I am still waiting on some Dakota Digital guages that were not available in Canada, otherwise I would have paid the xtra $ and bought them here and had them warrantied here. In some cases the US is a place one must shop, in other cases, a little research and building a relationship with a dealer is all that is needed to get a good deal and keep your $ in Canada.
Coulter is right though, you will still have the full amount of GST due at the border and you will still have some customs fees to pay as well, all are due immediately upon the product arriving.

Yeah I bought my Kicker K65.2s from them no issues at all very little for brokerage, true no warranty local but I haven't had a problem and still to this day haven't I have had them for almost 3-4 years now I think.... but then again it's luck really what stays working and what breaks down...
