My brother-in-law had an integra with a single boston acoustics 10" in a 1 cube box aimed towards the rear corner and it pounded for a 10. My advice is to build it and try it in every config until you like what you hear and can deal with the location.

i don't know if you have been to this site, but it may have some info for your use.

Also, remember that if your car is a daily driver then convenience is king. The system has to fit your needs not the other way around. The box in the floor will still sound good, may be the best sounding, but if it's your only option then you have to do it. Still way better than no subwoofer.

That seems a little small for 2 10s.. Id model the subs in a box building program and decide what comprimises in sound I was willing to make vs box size... (Id try and keep response from rolling off after 100hz if possible!)

Whoever wrote the article in that link is badly misinformed... way to go polk..

What a company recommends and what works well are sometimes two different things... on the other hand it may very well be enough space...

so would you recommend using a box building program and putting in the subs specs instead?

well i threw the specs into a box building program bass box pro 6 and i found that a ported box gave a pretty flat frequency response with 3 db points at 25 hz and 250 hz where the sealed box gave 3 db points at 55 and 250 hz and both basically had there peak at 100 hz , the only problem is i dont know which is better , i assume the flat ported but that box takes up three times the space as the sealed and i really would like to retain a trunk, what do you guys think

here are the specs maybe someone else can try it and tell me what they think
Diameter 10 in.
No. of Drivers 1
Fs 35
Qms 13.77
Vas 1.083 cu.ft. / 30.67 L
Xmax .35 in. / 9 mm
Sd 57.72 sq.in. / 353 sq.cm.
Qes .5
Le 2.56 mH
Z 4 ohm
Pe 600

1.9cu sealed before displacement from the subs looks good for the pair to me.
