Having a meltdown

Short version; house fire turned car fire = no more audio. And the home insurance won't even cover the car because it wasn't insured at the time because I had just bought it (privately and used).

Problem is, I'm now stuck without any music in the car I'm going to be driving for the foreseeable future. So where should I be looking to purchase a new system from for reasonable prices? I live in Grimsby, ON and would prefer if I could keep the travel distance closer to home when purchasing but if need be, I can make the trek.

And when I say reasonable, I'm hoping for it to be quite reasonable as I'm a first year electrical apprentice but my appreciation for music and sound quality is quite high. Someone please help me out, thanks!

Wow- sorry for your misfortune, dude!
I would hunt on the interweb for deals. While I like to support local business, I don't like paying for storefronts which don't provide me any benefit (and online sellers do not have that overhead and therefore lower prices). Just do your homework first!
Good luck!

Thats the hardest part. I don't have a budget per se, however I miss my music and can't afford everything up front. Not unless someone wants to give me some sweet financing deal, haha.

First year electrician right here too man my advice is do everything in steps, that way you'll probably put alot more research into what you like and everything, and if you can, definitely try installing yourself. not only the cost but you'll probably appreciate having a sweet sounding ride that much more knowing you installed everything, i know i do
and I've been browsing Sonic Electronix lately, they have some wicked prices if you're into buying online.

There is always Madisound/Parts Express as well, if you understand the drivers' specs and how they relate to their own sound. You can pick up some nice drivers for little money. I'm looking at some midbass drivers there myself right now.
