I meant that LACK of output was not the problem.
The obvously had enough ouput - did you see the setup? Insane to say the least.

And coffy man your own earwax does work as long as it completely closes off the ear canal (impacted). The older and harder the earwax the better the job of attenuating the sound.

Why don't you just turn it down. If you think your hitting the 30's its impossible to be driving and not bother anybody anyways. Unless you live in northern SK in the middle of nowhere.

If you should happen to get pulled over and the cop sees you got earplugs in ... don't expect ANY sympathy from him or the courts ! I beleive its agin the law to wear plugs and drive . Think about the Walkman craze, people were git'n tickets cause they were wearing then at the wheel. Can't hear sirens ect ect.

^^^ Cool, do you mind telling me what kind of earplugs, and exactly where you got them?

Also, the attenuation is not constant across the frequencies. But in general, a higher NC rating is better.

Also, if you're using the over-the-ear type hearing protection, be careful that they don't start resonating and vibrating - which may actually increase your ear's noise exposure.

Earwax... well, that's more of a hygiene issue, and I'd be grossed out if someone had enough to block the entire canal passage... Also - don't reuse disposable earplugs! And wash reusable earplugs to keep them clean!

While gross it is a very common issue even with people that are younger. It is not a hygene issue as cleaning your ears tends to cause the problem not fix it. If you are noticing problems with your hearing you may have too much earwax...

Well I've never had it loud & low enough to make me have a bowel movement, but I was playing Usher's "Yeah" the other day at full tilt and it made me nauseus... That was a first, thought I was gonna puke it was so loud... Awesome.

I've never got a ticket for my stereo playing to loud... Maybe my deadener works to good or something... And I am "nice" about my loudness, not pounding through residential areas etc... Although if I ever do get a DtP ticket, I'll be sure to frame it, hang it on the wall, and post a copy here!!!

LMAO...

I got a noise violation like 4years ago... I got out of it though....

Cops were standing on the side of the road pulling people over at random checking seat belts... the guy said he heard me comming from a couple blocks away...

it was only 2 12s and a collection of 5.25s 8s and 6x9s and maybe 450wrms total...
