HELP!!: Alpine Amplifier Link Amp Link KCE-511M

Guys,

I'm completely new here and need your help. I've got an MRD-M605 and an MRV-F345 that I'd really like to hook up to my Alpine 9855 deck. In order to do this I need an alpine amp link cable and I've had no luck finding one anywhere. Used or new I'm open to just about anything and would greatly appreciate any help you guys could provide. Thanks in Advance!

Josh

Pardon me if this is something blindingly obvious, but why do you need an amplifier link to hook them up to your deck.
IIRC, these operate just like any other amp, pop a couple rcas in em and give them a remote turnon.

Dogstar,

Sorry for the confusion. Perhaps a little clarification is in order. I've got the amps hooked up using the exact method you mentioned. The Alpine Amplifier-link system allows the head-unit to control amplifier settings operation such as gain and level while displaying amp status measures like temperature and voltage.

The amps are completely functional now but I'd really like to add the amp-link functionality and I thought that maybe a member might be able to help me out.

The local place was less than helpful and pretty much tried to discourage me from alpine (even though they carry alpine). Evidently Alpine discontinued the amp-link so finding a used one is probably my best bet. I'm sure there are some unused ones out there its just a matter of finding one.......... which has proved difficult thusfar, but I've still got hope!

Make sure you amp and deck are the same year became i bought a 2004 deck and 2005 deck at the same time (it was in january, stock was changing over) and they werent compatable. If they are and you can' find a cable anywhere i suggest ebay. Although its not the most popular place on here it is the one place you can find discontinued stuff which is great.

I just took a look at the users manual for both amps (MRV-F345 & MRD-M605) and the head unit (CDA-9855) and they all list the KCE-511M as being the required Amplifier link cable and are listed as being compatible. Thanks for the heads up, I'm glad I took a look!

Also, on the ebay note: I've been searching ebay for quite some time with no luck what so ever. I'm really hoping that Green Hornet, MR2NR, or another forum user can help me out. Being a car audio junkie and pack rat myself I know how stuff can just kind of accumulate over the years and with any luck someone will have an unused cable in their personal stash. I'll keep my fingers crossed...
