I have a PPI amp that is causeing me some problems. The amp powers up fine but when you turn the volume up it goes into short circuit protection. It only happens at higher volumes. Is this a problem with the amp or what? Any suggestions? Any thing I should check? Any ideas would be great. [img]graemlins/dunno.gif[/img]

 

Are you tring to run it at 2ohm?

 

I would check how you wired your subs, that can cause your amp to go into safemode at higher volumes

 

check for shorting wires and tinsel leads

 

Running at 4ohm.
