Question Help with Set up....

Which would be louder 2 Kicker 15L5's in a 3ft^3 sealed enclosure or a single ported Kicker 15L7 in a 3.5ft^3 box?

Being powered by MRD-M1005 (1000Wrms @ 2ohm, 700Wrms @ 4ohm)

Thanks in advance for your response any feedback is appreciated!

Tempted to say the L5's. You're giving the same power so more cone area should give you higher SPL but the biggest issue I see is that 1.5cu ft isn't much for 15" and SPL, on top of that they are in a sealed box.

Sorry the 3ft^3 sealed was a typo! If the box is sealed it can be larger. The problem is it can be more than 13" deep to fit into the opening in my trunk. I was having a hard time designing a sealed enclousure to fit (it's my first box build). I am now considering two Diamond Audio D615D2's or D315D4's in a sealed box apx. 4.5ft^3. Does anyone have comments or suggestions? Thanks for all the input!

The L7 will be freakin loud. Make no mistake about that. But, I'd have to go with the L5's. Just because I like a lot of cone!
