If it was done by any alarm guy it ould be in one of your blank switch panels in the car. (black plastic peice where a switch would have been if you had that option. Other common places are the top of steering column cover. or on the center console in front of the shifter

Underground parking can suck, depending on how far down your car is, and the range of your 2-way. That was a $1500 lesson for me learned the hard way a couple months ago, even with a 2wfm9000as.

Does the blinking LED even work? Do they really think there is an alarm system?

It'll deter some. You have to remember that people have become highly de-sensitized to hearing sirens and pretty much always just ignore them anyways. and good thieves know this. really there isn't a whole lot you can do to 100% safeguard your car. That is what insurance is for. Also removing your head units faceplace goes a long way.

I do this all the time. I never leave it in there. I also turn the music off about 3, 4 blocks away from my apartment.

..I still cant figure out why they would break into my car. My car looks like crap, and completely stock. I figured my car would be the last thing anyone would break into. And it was true for 2 years.

I figured they would break into the BMW, or the one of many civics/preludes down there.

Thanks for the replies everyone. Please feel free to comment more, and suggest more.

The only way to have 100% peace of mind that the theif will be dealt with...

NOTE : Copy/paste the adress and add a "?" between the word "watch" and the "v=geyn...." following it
