hey is 145.3 db good???

My back seats were down, car was running at idle, mic stand was in the middle of us with mic at ear level, used the intro of the song elevator and held 144.8 steady, then I tried the song "shone" from flo-rida and went to the end of the song where the boom gets low, and then i would peak every time at 145.3 then down to144.9,144.7, back up to 145.3. I could'nt hold 145.3 but it peaked there, I am sure with practice and the right song I might hit a db or 2 more.... I was scared to blow it,,, I put back on elevator and (where I was stedy at 144.8) and then went out to the trunk to see the sub move and the ****er is hardly moving and seams that it could do MUCH more...

I have a dd 3512, wired 2 ohms, with a macrom 1500w rms @ 2 ohm, sikk nation built the box , he says its a 44hz and I got the stuff from rob@ forbidden audio....

In a box that is designed to let you listen to your music and not be a one note fart machine, I think you did quite well.

regardless of mic, a trunk is a good score given the wattage and such.

dont know what mic it was but I doubt we did it in a legal way.... like I didnt do the 30 sec thing, and I never looked for a good song.. just used what I figured was a good sounding song to my ears....The inside of car was hot, amp was just been playin hard on my way there too, so I am sure I would have done better if I had cooled down the inside of the car before the reading and let the amp get cool. boy times have changed though... 10 years ago I had a hard time hitting 146 with a wall of 4-12s pioneers IMPP's with300rms in to each one, in the back of my 81 trans am.... and I bet you with a bit more dynamat, practice, and the correct song with Rob @ forbidden audio saying that he would give me a new one if I blow this one, I could do 146 or more with the one 12 DD!...cause when i was hitting 144, i went to the trunk and the sub looked and sounded like it could go further... lol

what do you mean "given the wattage"

you think I should hit higher? or is it remarkable that I hit 145?
