what do you guys use for idling up your vehicle, i came in second at a comp this weekend, losing by .1 of a db, i was not impressed. the guy who beat me was sitting in his car and he held the revs up. i stood outside my truck and i am sure if i would have idled the engine up, i could have beat him. i don't want this to happen again

who makes, or where could i find a constant pull solenoid? i'm guessing that is what i need. the ones for my shaved doors specify 1 second pulse and no more

it depends what type of truck it is, but if its older... only one screw and you can set it whereever you want. if its newer, and fuel injected... turn on something like the a/c. that will usually bump the idle up.

i know of a couple guys from ontario that would just pop the hood, and use a wire tie (zip tie, zap strap, whichever u prefer) to hold the rpm up, and then just cut it off after the run.

Air Conditioning is a BAD idea, it will get your RPM's up, but it will also drop your voltage, and in return you will loose more than you would gain.. what's wrong with sitting in the car and reving it?

Another thing I've seen lots of people do, is pop the hood and use a penny to set the revs lol

yeah i guess all those would work, i just thought it would be cool to have a solenoid or actuator wired to the extra output on my alarm which i can program to be pulsed or latched. so when i want to rev it up, i can just do it from the remote. i don't really want to be inside the truck.
