Got most of my stuff working now that I've had free time, turns out the installers whom I paid didn't plug one of the RCA's into my deck and they had wired the powered antenna wire to my remote for my amp...so they're huge morons but anyway, now my bazooka amp is clicking on and off - it'll play for a few seconds and then make a clicking sound and go off, and it'll repeat but this amp works fine in my friends car. So I put in my old pyramid america amp and it plays for one second and goes right into protect mode...ideas?

After 2 more hours of trying to get it going, we've bi-passed the cap but still a no go. If I leave the volume under 10 then it'll player but above 10 my amp goes into protection mode. Everything is hooked up properly and tested with a multimeter, basically triple checked everything as well. Fuses everyhere are good, it really makes no sense and 3 of my friends who know car audio as well have taken a look at it and don't have a clue, if I can't find out what it is soon I guess I'll have to go for a pro install :@

Amp should be getting enough power and just to test that as well we hooked up a car battery charger to one of my amps and it still goes into protection mode. As for a bad ground we scraped off the paint around the ground and after testing with a multimeter everything is being powered properly. It literally makes no sense, anyone who looks at it and tries to get it going will say that by all means it should work but doesn't.
Or as my friend matt said last night after trying "this is a case for ****in unsolved mysteries"

It could also be that the speaker impedance load is too low for the amp. What are you running off of it.

What ohm load is the amp rated for? And what load is the sub wired for?
