thanks for the advice guy's I ended getting the new alt.Actually I had the old one rebuilt, new insides totally just the housing remains the same. I found a guy here in whitby who rebuilds them and he warrenties his work which turns out to be a huge problem around here. It seems everyone can rebuild one for you but they don't want to warrenty their work. I installed it myself took it back to him to show him and make him happy.I'm now getting 140amps. The only thing I had to do was raise the idle to 1000 rpms so that it will charge at idle.Small price to pay to not have to replace my alt every six months!

Are you having any problems with the headlights pulsating at over 1,000 RPMs?

Or do your RPMs fluctuate to the music at idle?

No it would only charge at 12.3 at an idle of 700rpm(normal)and 14.0v at 1000rpm. The idle only dips when I have the volume at max, lights on etc,and sitting at a stop light. That's obviously more load than i should when stopped so I don't. I raised the idle because I wanted the battery to charge some what when I'm idling as opposed to not at all.
