I am about to get a plasma tv to hang on my wall, and I am looking for a tuner(amp) and dvd player that could be flat mounted on a wall to go with the plasmas sleekness. However I cant find any.

It needs to be made to work that way... any ideas or linkys?

If you can afford a B&O setup, most likely you'll not skimp on install, and you'll either run the wires into the wall or pay someone to do so for you.

Its like most 5.1 or more HT setups in upscale homes....they run the speaker wires either entirely through the walls or under the carpets and up through the walls.

Its really the same as car audio in that sense.
If you're buying two w7s or something, why would you ever consider skimping on the install.

Thanks Dukk, altohugh your suggestion is just way to expensive, it did stear me on the right track, in only a few seconds I was able to find just what I want form sony: DAV-LF1

Sure its a box unit but thats ok for now, I am in a small room, I have little wall to work with wich is the reason I am getting a plasma instead of a huge DLP or projector. I need all my stuff to be on the wall and out of the way, not looking for the ultimate in home theater, just above average.

Thanks again.

If anyone has other suggestions, cheeper ones perhaps, let me know.

Check out this home theatre system. We sell abunch of these to customers who have purchased our plasmas:

http://www.pioneerelectronics.ca/pna...993911,00.html

The great thing about this system is that the speakers are made by NXT using their SurfaceSound technology. All five speakers are just over 1" thick so you can mount them one the walls.

Also, the display control is a separate piece so that you can operate the DVD player with the remote without it being in plain sight.

I'm not sure what stores in Quebec sell this model but you could use the dealer locater on Pioneer's web site to find one ( www.pioneerelectronics.ca ).

Good luck!

That looks like just what I want/need, thank you very much. Much appreciated. It seems like the tuner dvd player is not something youd hang on the wall though, am I wrong?

As for why I am not building the ultimate theater experience? I dont have the room, and this is my main living room, I cant have it sealed off and well isolated anyways, it has a direct link with the kitchen... no what I am looking for is style and comfort, not the ultimate experience.

The ultimate experience will come when I have a basement big enough for a projector (right now it can only take my home gym)... and I wont be buying a theater in a box either. Everything comes in its own time.

For now, this will still be way better then anything I have ever had.

If you have more suggestions, please post them.

Lee

Hi Lee,

You are correct, the tuner/DVD player would have to be placed somewhere but I'm sure the display (which controls all functions of the unit) could be mounted on the wall.

I have also just heard from my head office meetings that Future Shop MAY be offered a special price on the HTZ-940DV in the near future.

Keep your eyes & ears open!
