It's like saying big spl 12's act like an 18, which they obviously don't. It still is just an 8 inch sub, and a 12" sub of comparable size will definatley get louder, and go lower.

yeah that is a pretty darn expesnive 8" woofer...epecially since it really isn't even that big...I mean for an 8 it is big but the motor isn't that large on it...if it had a big motor it wouldn't fit through the hole for the 8" basket
