JBL MS8 opinions

Looking for some feedback on this piece. Anyone used one yet and what are your thoughts I'm considering it and keeping the factory head unit, but all aftermarket after the MS8.

On another note, the Ontario Rep seems to not want to provide ANY help in securing one of these as he's not returning phone calls. WTF !??!?!? Are times that good again ??

Securing what? You can walk into Best Buy and get one.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention........ through my JBL Dealer...... smart-azz.

Unless BB is having some kind of heavy discounting happening on the unit, you won't catch me there spending money anytime soon.

Of note, some time ago Amazon.com I believe had a killer deal on JBL products and people were scoring them for $400 and change with full warrantee. Makes you wonder about cost on these babies !!

Also have heard rumors that they are coming out with the same unit but without onboard power. Anyone heard this ???

From what I hear it's the best out there - it really has an edge of everyone else when it comes to auto setup. I'm still leaning towards the BitOne myself still though as it suits my system layout better (has more inputs on it) and I like the controller. Cost is the same for me for either piece.

The bit one has more than 8 inputs? Also i am really considering ditching my H701 and grabbin an MS8. I truely never thought it was going to come out. I havent heard or seen anything about an actual pure sound processor ( aka without the built in amp) but if they came out for one and the cost reflectted that (aka cheaper) id have a hard time sayin no.

MS8 is great, easy enough to use. Lots of possibilities for setups.. I personally think that if you are going to get it, that you should plan to be running surround sound with a center.

I heard that you can't tweak it after it has set itself. That to me makes it useless.

Not true after unlike alpines imprint system you can do whatever you want to the settings and even save said settings to toggle between your settings and the settings from the testing.
