Unfortunately the unit wasnt installed by me as it came with the car when i bought it. He said it was installed by a dealer so whatever they normaly do i suppose. If i cant get the video to work when the car is going then i might as well just sell it and get a regular head unit. It's not like i would be watching videos while im driving but the passenger might want to, or play video games or something.

Well if you can't get the video to work while the car is in motion you'll sell it and get a regular head unit? Then you won't have ANY video when the car is stopped and you will still only have audio when the car is in motion so why change?

Yet having video navigation is perfectly legal and safe. What's the difference between having video navigation and a dvd movie playing? Video navigation is only used to distract the driver, while a dvd movie can at least be used to entertain passengers. But thanks for being the hypocrite guardian angel of the world. Be sure to keep both hands on the wheel at all time and dont play your stereo above comfortable listening levels. You've been a great help.

lol. funny . last time i chcked out cant get hooked into starting at a moving dot on a nav unit while a big action scnene in a movie will surly grab everyones attention.

and its too bad everyoen doesnt keep both hands on teh wheel and play there stereo at comfortable levels. thered be alot less deaths / accidents.

Since you're obviously very knowledgeable, you know that a regular head unit already has the capability to play cd, mp3 etc already built in, whereas the cva-100x units require an external source. And im sure you would agree that saving space and simplifying a system by removing parts that are not needed or used is generaly a good thing especially in mobile audio where space and power are always limited. And since im not a loser that sits in my car and plays video games in a parking lot, i wouldnt really have much use for a video screen other than entertaining passengers on road trips. I hope that answers your question, now perhaps with your knowledge you could be kind enough to answer mine.

Yeah, why won't somebody answer his question? It seems that he was very upfront with his intentions and they seem pretty legit to me. Unfortunately I'm not familiar with the component or I'd help.
