how does this system sound?

Well this will be my third system. and im pumped about it. how does this sound. just give me your honest opinion. this will be in a 2001 pontaic sunfire 4 door.

2 15 Inch Kicker L7's rated 2000 Watts max output and 1000 watts RMS in a ported enclosure of 5.90 cubic ft2. It will be hooked up to two amps. One for each sub. At 2 Ohms. Seeing as the subs are two ohms i want to match it.

The amps are the Kicker 1000.1's and im going to give it 1000 X 2 ohms which is how much the kicker L7's can handle.

Also I have a Kenwood deck with 3 different rca inputs so i can put two amps in.

For the front speakers, I have 2 Pioneer 150 Watt 3 way 4x6 speakers and in the back I have 2 6x9 Kicker 2 way 300 Watt speakers.

I was also wondering what kind of amp i could get to amplify the speakers if i wanted to put 4 of them in the back (the kicker 6x9's) their 4 ohm speakers and 100 watts rms.

Thanks, write back asap to tell me what you think.

sounds good to me, but then again i don't know much so doesn't mean much coming from me lol.

i can say w00t to the sunfire! mine is a 2003 and will be getting 2x mach 5 audio IXL 12 1000w rms subs in a ported box built by jalat. though for now it they will only get 900w rms.

Sounds like a solid lower end. I would suggest good front 6.5" components instead of 4x6. Much more realistic sound.

Any 4ch amp with a good xover section will do that produces around 100rms x4. Your going to have that car slammin.

Need more cubic footage...

I would rather have a pair of 12"s then a pair of chocked 15"s

I would do a good solid set of 12" in that car, much easier to make them fit properly. One set of good rear speakers, invest in very good front speakers (your most important set of speakers in the car), then a large 4 channel amp to drive them. I have some great deals on speakers and amps right now if that interests you as well. For use of power, I would start looking to a one amp system for the subs, it will be a better use of the rather small amount of power you have from the tiny little electrical system in the car. It will also take up less space. It will also be far easier to tune a one amp two sub system vs a two amp two sub system. Expect to throw $$$$ into the electrical if you really want the system to perform, for if you do not, do not expect the results you are hoping for and that the system is capable of delivering.
