Ok... first, what model of DD sub is it?

Second, who told you it can take 6000RMS? If you check the DD site even the 99 series has a rating of 1500RMS.

Third... what's your box like? Is it ported? If so, were you playing below tuning frequency?

Take the sub back to the shop if it really is blown. The fact that they no longer carry the line doesn't mean they shouldn't honour the warranty.

the coil is spinning or it has spinners? lol

way too little information to make any informed guess here.

sub

had a friend listen to it tonight....definately is a coil gone. Guess I will have to find someone to rebuild it for me

Prolifik 08-10-2006 08:36 AM

if the sub plays its not a coil

Haunz 08-10-2006 09:50 AM

if he says it sounds like its 'spinning' my only guess is that part of the coil came unwound and he can hear the windings moving around inside the sub as it plays....

send it back to DD... they can recone it...

and wtf is up with the shop you bought it from ? sounds pretty sketchy to me..:retard:

sub

Well I got a hold of DD but no reply yet I am probably going to pay to get it reconed. Its an awesome sub and I want to keep it

Yo Shaun, Seriously in my mind, I think its Just cause the box size..To me it doesn't look like the proper amount of airspace. But in the Defence, I know that this sub was HARDLY pushed at all!!! FFS didn't even blow out his window :P..lol

Prolifik 08-10-2006 11:04 AM

lol yah the box is way too big

cav2nv420 08-10-2006 12:13 PM

The box is exactly 4.0 cubic feet including the sub depth which is recommened from DD for that sub its the 3515, and the sound coming out of it is strange it still plays loud and bassy but it has a static kind of sound coming out of it, almost scratchy like
