How good was it in its day?

My friend just threw a old rockford at me the other day, and wants me to have it. If it works im probably going to use it as a home sub.

Series 1

The RF Series 1 was entry level product, the S1- 104 typically retailed at $179, when it started out, and prices fell to $119, before the series was disco'd. pretty efficient sub as well.
I found that it had more colouration than the punch series, not as tight, nor as low..,until I backbraced the magnet to the rear of the cabinet.
The cabinet will make it or break it.

you have a piece of history there. That line was the "begining of the end" for rockford. Before series 1 there were only punch and power series amps and subs. The series 1 line came out as an affordable product.
