How Many 6x9's?
Well, I sold the civic, so I need a new home for all my 6x9's.
I have the wife's astro van that I am thinking of putting the speakers in. My problem is that I think i would need more in a vehicle that big for good sound.
Plus its a factory 6 speaker system. I should be able to get some good extra watts for some more speakers!
But I am not sure how many? I don't want to keep the back seats, but the wife does of course..... Maybe I could build around some seats?
What do you think? How many speakers more for good sound should I add?

I got all kinds. I got some 5 ways (for good super-tweeter sound), 4 ways, 3 ways, 2 ways, and 1 ways (Well, they are actually 2 ways and 3 ways I ripped the tweeter out of to get better bass responses.)
Depending on where I put them and arrange them, I can feel the sound vibrate all over my skin. It is just superb!
The best part of the van is its big roof! I took the headliner our, and the speakers just kling to the metal! Thats going to make it easy to squeeze more in, and I wont even need any more wood!

well, lets start this off by asking, do you own an air saw? If you do, I would mount two sets in each door.(buy lotsa air saw blades) next, remove the dash,
Make five 6x9 rings, bondo those "bad boys" on the top of the dash.,A little fleese, a little bondo, a little love and baam! dual sterio with center channel (the center 5th speaker). you should be able to fit 5 speakers in each rear door....you may also require lotsa beer. That will make the job less painful. take pics
