How much does 4 Gauge power wire usually cost you?

I am close to Newmarket. Still haven't heard of Princess but I asked my friends and they have heard of it. I also wouldn't want to save $5 and get cheap wire.
Well I have been to this audo store a few times and they used to be good like 4-5 years ago but now, they just went downhill. If you go in there looking for 5 feet of speaker wire, they try and talk you into buying a $5000 audio/video system. They are right in your face and I will probably never shop there again but there are no other stores close to me so I guess I am SOL.
Their cable has to be expensive. I mean I know there is some expensive power wire but all their 4 gauge was the same, I wonder how much their 2 gauge wire was. Probably $6.00 a foot.
I saw their amp kits and they were like $199 and all they had were the basics and nothing special in there so I have no idea why it was so much money.
Btw, I didn't buy a kit because they are expensive as hell and I already had everything except the new power cable so I wasn't gonna spend that kind of money for stuff I already have.
I just can't believe how much it was when I go in there. I don't know how they are still around.

"4 gauge" does not always mean "4AWG".
It's rare to see 4 gauge car audio power wire that's actually labelled 4AWG.

Here is a little info I received this morning. How do you think it will affect the prices that people pay for their wire?

Do you think that all wire is equal? Do you think that wire pricing should stay the same although the costs have clearly skyrocketed? Look at the volume of thefts of aluminum and metals from jobsites, there is reason for it. The price of metals has gone through the roof, it is worth a crapload of money even if it is used (thus the thefts to recycle it). More and more companies will be raising prices substantially as their existing low priced old stock moves through. All depends on the store and their inventory levels.

you know what my reply was to that same email, waht about the 5% increase due to the can vs u.s. dollar 3 years ago, i havent seen that 5% given back due to the increase in the canadian dollar(30-35%). in theory shouldnt our prices be at least 25% less given that most of our studd comes from south of the border
