how to remove factory deck from 2003 rsx

how to remove factory deck from 2003 rsx

just wondering how i would go about removeing the factory deck?? also if i didnt want to put a after market deck in how would i hook up an amp ??

take it to some one that knows what thier doin man. you could mess some stuff up if you don't know what your doing.

Not sure about how to get your deck out since I don't have your car. lol! But, these will work for keeping the factory deck in and running an amp. I use one in my vehicle, it works great!

well im sure i wont mess anything up i just dont want to break anything when taking out the deck. if anyone has taken one out plz let me know how they did it. i hate working on new cars.. also i was wondering if i unhook the deck will the anit theft close off the deck?? i know when removeing on a lexus they dont unless you hook it up into another car but i dont know about acura.

making an aftermarket amplifier work with the factory h/u, would depend on which deck you have in there.
if it's the 6 disc in-dash changer, you have an amplifier under the passenger seat.
if it's a single disc, than a line convertor should be used.

to remove the factory h/u: you must remove the cover below the h/u(above the console)
there is two bolts with 8mm heads that must come out, it's very little room for tools, ratcheting gear wrench will come in handy.
you can than pull the h/u out, unplug the hazard switch, and woo-hoo, it's outa-there!!

If you keep the H/U and have the Bose system (6 disc in-dah changer) then you can use this harness to run an amp for aftermarket speakers
