Is t/a really noticeable?

^ If you have taken a lot of time and care in speaker placement then you can get away without T/A. If you want your car to image well and you have NOT taken the extra time in speaker placement, then T/A is more important

With car audio is is important to start at the end of the line and work forward when it comes to design, installation, and tuning. Speaker installation makes a HUGE impact in the way they sound, then careful gain balancing, then processing, then minor touches at the head unit for song-to-song variances. |
I had: Clarion 4-chan amp to power rear speakers and front components in non-deadened doors with mono amp for my subwoower.
Now I have:same clarion amp but bridged to give around 150watts to each component in the front in sealed and deadened doors. still the same mono amp and sub. And this is a HUGE improvement. I get a lot more power since the channels are seeing 2 ohms each. Rear speakers are useless now |

The idea behind setting up volume/balance on the amp is once it is set, you cant fiddle with it up front and get it out of wack. But your choice. same with Sub/mid crossover Once it is set on amp (instead of HU) you are done. No more fiddling.
