With 8 1000 W single channel amps, one for each sub, and drawing something like 160 amps each for a total of 1280 amps, your alternator should be in the same class as of one from a diesel locomotive... :) Hope yer dad's got lots of money, alternators from diesel loco's not only HUGE, but also quite pricy... :) There is a list on the forum here that lists the crap, the good, and the best of car audio, but where it is, I don't know. if done at a good shop properly im almost positive a cap will not and should not be used. a cap is something you get done at futureshop and best buy haha. second alt and battierss is ur fix:smilie_da |

There are so many options to choose from it is not even funny. The trick is to know which ones are going to work for your specific application. What sort of time estimate do you have to allow for install? Are you willing to leave your vehicle somewhere to have a proper install performed?
