my recommendations
headunit- CD5030 ...eclipse just stopped making product here, but there warranties are all honoured....pick one up cheap while you can from MR2NR
monoblock- MRP-M1000
subs- two 12" type r's (very important you get a quality box built for the specific subs...box makes a huge difference)
6.5"- Hertz HSK's ...(if you are going to splurge. do it on the front components...personally i wouldn't look anything below hsk's or a focal polyglass etc).
i'd start with something like that. cost you around 1grand. i have no idea what your budget it....but you can't really find better 'bang for your buck' gear than that.

Definitely scoop a CD5030 while you can. I have one left for that matter. After that we can step you up into some darn good stereo equipment. I have lots of options for you to choose from, most of them higher end speciatly products that deliver the results that you are looking for.

From what I am reading, Inked wants to blur his vision. If this is correct, replacing a pair of 8001s with an MRP-M1000 and his 10s with 12s probably won't be enough of a jump in performance I suspect.
I would do this in steps. For now, keep the 8001s - they're a decent amp. Find a good box builder and go for a pair or more 15s in a big vented box. That and get a new or a second amp for the front speakers as jamming the power up on those is a good idea too.
