I got a new 12" exile sub...now i need an amp...?
 

I got a brand new XPE12D 12" 4 ohm DVC exile subwoofer 600W RMS - 1200W PEAK Which Amp Would anyone reccommend and/or can anyone tell me the specs of a good amp to go with this sub?

I'd suggest something that does between 600 and 800 watts at 2ohm. You'll wire the voice coils in parallel.

Anything from a reputable brand should suffice.

first off is it a dual 4ohm voice coil or is it the single 4ohm version

I'd suggest anything JBL. I'been running them for awhile now.

Actually, JL Audio as well. those Amps are real power as opposed to the others.

i have a pair of those subs on my 1200 pioneer amp. The dealer at 604autosound said that people where pumping 2-3 times the rated power and they held up no problem.

there are 2 versions thats y im asking

i heard those subs today actualy in a prefab vented box...Futureshops selling them at 100$ a pop there clearance or somthing so idk if you can get them every where but man they go....600r a peace there pretty nice...

I understand there are 2 versions, but in his ORIGINAL post it says DVC......that means DUAL VOICE COIL. that means there are 2 voice coils, not SVC which is single. I don't know how much clearer this could get..:dunno:

Probably looking for the most bang for my buck, Can the amp power bother SVC and DVC Subs
