I have a Rockford 300 Wat RMS Amp but it cuts out if I turn the sub laud.

I just had the same problem with my JBL. It would always cut out when I turned it up. After switching from 2ga to 2/0ga all the problems went away.

I have a sony Head unit.

I'm almost sure now its the heat, today when I was trying it when I posted the first post about it cutting out it was about 30 degrees now thats its about 20 Degrees the amp did not cut out I think I Might get a cooler and some ice packs and try running it even cooler to see if it helps I think I Bought the amp with a heat broblem.

I think I might have been wrong about the heat I was just out trying it out and it was still cutting out on me, I know when the bass hits hard my headunit dims to the beat when I Have it turned up, could that give me any hints of to whats going on with it?

A power wire can be any color of the rainbow. If you are this stumped already, no offense intended, but you should seek someone to do this for you as the risk and cost of repair do to the potential damage that you will cause will drastically outweigh what it will cost to have it done properly and professionaly.

Anyone knoe where I could get a good Power wire with a good fuse for cheap we have a Walmart and Futureshop close to us and a Canda Tire.

Caps draw (then store) power. Would only add to your problem. You can get a 4 ga install kit from C.T., and Future shop for sure. I've found my local Cash Converters (pawn shop) to have decent kits for fairly cheap.

No a cap will not help. Cheap wire is not going to help. Good quality wire and a proper install will.
