I know it's been asked but...

Ok, I know that everyone has asked but I searched and didnt really find anything.

I'm wondering about running 2 10's or 1 12. I know its dumb to ask but I need to.

It's going into a pretty small truck (making a cut through for the box) so I dont want it to be too over powering. I'm thinking Eclipse SC8264 for frontend (had an old pair and loved them), no amp decided yet. The amp for the subs is a Planet Audio 225hc (400x1 @1 ohm or 800x1 @1/2ohm).

I'm thinking about some spl comps, nothing serious, just fun stuff. I dont know about any of the rules for it though.

Ohh, I will mostly listen to rap and punk...

Here is a pic of the truck that it will be going into, it's under construction now though:

Sorry, I guess I should have reread it.

I was wondering what would sound better with Punk and Rap music (mostly Rap though).

Also, would there be much of a spl diffrence between the two?

I'm thinking about using RF Punch P2's unless someone has a better suggestion for about the same price?

I had a flat one behind the seat. Didnt like it very much, it had no lower end.

I dont mind cutting a hole, there already is one to clear the airbags in the back.

I'd run 2 10's...more cone area. A pair of 10's should easily have more output potiential than a single 12, given that the 10's and 12's are from the same line.

Nice 720, is it body dropped ?

It's kind of a old school mod but a buddy of mine has a set of Maxima buckets and lights modded for a 720 that he will unload cheap.

Thanks man! Ya its BD 2.5", just enough.

Thanks for the offer on the lights but i'm just doing a chrome grill. It's gonna be a new school style truck (like 18's and 2 tone paint).

I was wondering how much lower a 12 would go over 2 10's? I will be porting the box too. I just like deep bass but if 2 10's would be close but louder I would be all over that. And 2 12's is just too much room, trying to keep it under 2.5cubic feet.

go with 1 12, use the rest of the space to make a nice ported box. a proper box would do you more good than a small box with 2 subs cramps into it.
