Hi guys, I'm new here but not new to car audio at all. I've had systems in every car i've ever owned since i was 16 years old. But what i really need help with is a car starter. I just recently bought my very first manual car, Is it possible to install a car starter in a stick car or are they just for automatic cars? I've never had a starter before so I know nothing about them.

please any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

You can install a starter in your car, it's kinda tricky though. Some brands, like autostart or nustart, come ready for both auto and manual transmission. If you have an old viper model, it won't work unless you buy a separate module. The new viper starters come ready for stick cars. I suggest you ask a professionnal to do the installation ^_^

im not 100% positve but i think theres a safety switch to tell if the car is in gear or not, make sure thats hooked up if there is one as u wouldnt want ur car to jump ahead a few feet and possibly smack another car or ur house lol
