If I run a 900 RMS system does it affect my gas mileage?

I have a T212D4 1000 RMS sub with a over rated PYLE 4000 watt amp running with a 5 farad cap, would it burn more gas if i have a system running in the car? I assume it does because the alternator has to work harder but am I wrong or right?
It will increase your fuel consumption. Your logic is correct.
It takes energy to make energy, in this case mechanical energy from your engine to turn your alternator.
However, the amount of extra fuel you will use will not even be noticeable to you.

no you won't burn more fuel, you will just have dimming headlights cause your alternator can't produce enough power
now if you replace your stock alternator with a larger one like I have then you will be good to go

I get avg 220 km in my cavalier on 20 bucks gas at a buck a liter with nothing in the trunk. And when my trunk was done last year which had near 250 pounds of material and equipment i was getting around 210 km per 20 bucks of gas at one dollar a liter. You will lose mileage with weight in youre trunk but not much, unless you have a huge amount of weight in a little car.
Hey buddy
Pyle IS THE ! ALRIGHT! lol jk I only got the Pyle since i didn't have money for anything better at the time lol. It still pushes about 900 RMS bridged, still plenty of power. trust me, u need to hear the sub to know it.
