http://www.scosche-cars.com/ is a subscription based guide

in terms of other information... shame on you...You are going to work at a car audio install shop and you have not even bothered to google things like:

basic car audio electronics
car 12 volt
car radio installer do it yourself

How can I google things when I don't know what or that I had to google them? But thanks for the advice. The shop is called Hi-Fi Plus Inc. located on Rhymal road East in Hamilton, Ontario. www.hifiplus.ca (practically nothing on the site, every tab says 'coming soon').

I agree with a previous post, don't be afraid to ask ANY questions, better to be safe than sorry, dont want u drillin into gas tanks or 'causin any fires. Solder all ur connections. Dont hide it from your boss if you break something (or your co-op will end real soon). Try to do things right the first time lol, dont want any vehicles coming back. And make sure to tell me how long your first cavalier deck install takes lol........

hehe and if you're real lucky you will learn how to clean the bathroom
my word of advice is... if you think you might break it... ask for help... we have 2 co-ops at my work... they're getting pretty good now...now that the term is just about over... the one Id almost alow him to do a basic remote start install.. the other no where past running wires of regular deck installs... it really depends on the installer at the shop and your attitude... btw... try to ask reasonable questions... and remember teh answers... and always have e-tape in your pocket!

good luck

Is this supposed to be hard? When I did my deck (no t-harness, f*** door chimes!) the hardest part was getting all the wiring to sit just so to allow the deck to be screwed in. Maybe cavs are different from sunflowers.

How do you think the rest of us found those good sites? By googling topics such as
car radio installation
car radio wiring diagram
etc

The google searches I suggested to you would have put the 3 best sites right at the top of the list, and you would have also found a lot of other good information. You have to work a little in life. Dont expect everything to be given to you on a silver platter!
