Incar video hookups ?

Okay, here is a question, when you install indash video units, do you hook up the brake wire all the time ? Some of the time ? Or never ?

All of the time.

I won't sy how to disable it either, if they can figure it out on their own, oh well.

what brake wire, you mean the one that goes to the pac tr-7?

the option is left up to our customers, if they are dumb enough to drive down the road and watch movies , they deserve the consequnces of that stupidity, it like guns, you can buy guns and bullets at walmart, but its illegal to shoot people

Always. I'm not really concerned whether it's "company policy" or not, the simple fact is I don't want idiots on the road driving while watching movies. It's comman sense, and I mean it's bad enough dealing with drivers gabbing on their cell phones. I've heard stories of car accidents involving drivers that were just switching cds... So if accidents can happen in the time it takes to do that, then imagine someone who's trying to immerse themselves in a movie whilst behind the wheel on a highway or something. Trouble... Now what they do once the car leaves the bay is totally up to them, but I wont be letting them know how to bypass the brake wire.

How about the argument that the customer spends 2 or 3K on his video he should be able to listen to it at anytime ?

And a customer that spends 2-3K on an assault rifle should be able to just shoot people too. But they get arrested. You can shoot your gun at the firing range, and you can watch your video parked, with the E brake on.
