secondly if you drove beside somone on the highway or street and you noticed they happend to be driving a 5speed smoking a cigarette
drinking a coffee and reading the newspaper
would you
A: honk to see if he waived
B: get the hell away from them!

kinda puts things in perspective

now if you dont mind im gonna get back to driving

the cust is more than welcome to do whatever he/she wants to HIS/HER vehicle as long as the unit is installed within company procedure.
if the orig wiring is tampered with after he/she
leave's the shop that would be at there own responsibility.

^^^^ exactly... that is the only way to avoid liability.

Waivers are not an entirely bad idea; however, they do not always stand up in a court of law.

For example, you put a remote start on a car with a manual transmition for someone. Somehow, the car mows down a pedestrian. Just because the customer waived your liability, does not mean the pedestrian did...BUT, if you had some sort of "safety switch" installed and the consumer bypassed it, you have proof that you did install the unit safely and correctly.
