Hey, I checked these out today at Future Shop http://www.futureshop.ca/multimedia/...e/10027689.jpg

They sounded pretty decent, they were very high up in the board though. Seemed like they have decent bass response and high end. Anyone run these, or heard them in a car? Thanks!

I ran them for awhile. They are decent, tweets are a bit bright, had good volume with 50 watts/channel. Best thing is they can be had barely used for less than $100. Check Ebay and the car audio boards.

Cool thanks, yeah I am checking with Mik on his set, for $150 shipped.....

very good sound quality...tweets are a bit bright for some peoples liking, but you can cut them down a bit at the cross-over to your liking

300 seems a bit pricey... did it satisfy you at the freq extremes? Not too bright or too hot/ cool a mid-bass (100 to 300 Hz). These are everyone’s complaints on Infinity stuff (but the quality is pretty good). There is a lot of good stuff at that price point... can you say it is the best (most real sounding) you can afford? I am not an Infinity hater... they tend to have an identifiable ‘sound’ but it is a decent sound. I do not think I have heard the silk dome tweeter though!

I didn't take a very long listen to them, it was in the small sound room at FS. I have picked them up from Mik, I think they will fit the bill nicely.

I was never happy with they way those speakers sounded in any install i used them in, the mids were weak below 400hz and the tweeters lacked detail in the upper frequencies.

for the price, there's better out there (alpine, kicker, etc)

Is that right? Right now I am running some crappy Clarion 6.5's for my mids, highpassed off the deck at 200hz and am running just the tweeters in my Orion 4x6's in the dash, and I am fairly happy with the sound. I am sure that they will do the trick, especially for the price. This is in a Jeep after all, not the quietest vehicle around. Thanks for all of the input people, appreciate it.
