600 watt amp that equal to about 200rms of REAL POWER.... kenwood amps are a joke just as much as there subs, 10" DB+ subs 800 watt peak but 200rms... I myself don't like Kenwood cause there ratings are about as accurate as pyramid....

Only 4mm of Xmax dosen't sound right to me.... I would think it would be more like 8-9mm.... [img]graemlins/dunno.gif[/img]
Anyway, I don't think they are that bad of a sub for the money.... they seem to have pretty long throw, which is good for getting loud in large boxes.....
I heard 3 12's in a hatch back/ported box with like 600RMS from 3 RF A/B amps... and I was pretty impressed.... it definatly shook the whole car....
I think the guy said he bought new for like $80 each on sale a walmart.... lol...
Anyway, I'd take Jensen over kenwood anyday.... ratings are more conservative, and they use way less marketing fluff.... which translates to better gear for the same price...

I myself don't use kenwood at all, not impressed with there stuff.. my buddy has all kenwood 2 12" Db+ subs... and it holds nothing to my 12"Kicker Comp Vr... he using a supposed "900 Watt" mono block amp as well... I use to have cheap **** subs before, and I would take a Kenoowd over pyramid/legacy, Jensen etc.... quality is abit better... with the 175rms the Jensen is suppose to take, last me maybe 2 months and they where ****.... then what can ya expect there walmart brand crap......

jeez you guys, get over yourselves. i believe the guys words in his post were PLEASE DO NOT LECTURE ME ABOUT BUYING JENSEN. now come on guys 99% of us started out with a system that maybe wasn't all it could be (some still don't have it even though they think they do). the guy just wanted some info, not to get beat up by stereo snobs. now in fairness to you guys.....evrybody has an opinion about gear. the place to discuss this is advice or opinion threads, not a thread asking for help.

^ Thank U man. Iv heard these subs and i know what they have been through and what they can do. Sure they have been used for sound offs and have the dustcaps removed but thats why im only paying 225 for them. The amp that I am getting with the subs is probably worth 225$ alone. So i think im getting a good deal for this being my first system. Maybe i will learn from my mistakes but leave that to me.
And to the guy that tried to sell me the kenwoods, your here knocking on them yourself so y would i buy them? Plus i like to hear what im buying first ya know

no prob bro. the most fun i ever had with a system was having 2 12" B-52 subs (18 dollars cost) and a Sherwood 1000w (yeah right) amp. all wraped up into a 1986 chevette. lol. guffaw. hitn 137.6. ran that for two years loved it. didn't show it off, but loved it.
