Hi not sure if this is where I post ?? I have a Clarion CZ 501 that has two sub pre outs I only have one sub and bridged amp for it, the amp has left and right inputs do I use a spitter and use only the one sub preout as I guess the other pre out is for a second sub? Also do I use the head unit for cross over settings?? On the amps it also has LP FR HP so where do I set these ? The Amps are MTX 282 bridged for sub and MTX 4244 for front and rears. Thanks

 

Ok I got the amps figured out for the settings of LP for sub and hp for front and rear but what about the input to amp from for sub out do I need the y ?? and only use one sub out ?

 

The sub amp wants to see both left and right channel inputs. No Y-connector.

 

So I use both sub preamp out puts then ?

 

Yes use both.

 

The amp needs to see both the L and R input, and internally sums them to create the mono channel.

 

I see, thanks, I got everything up and running I left the decks cross over settings for FR and adjusted the cross over on the amps . Is that correct ? I also have a bit of noise in speakers whine from alternator ?
