You can buy whatever mat you want... if you do not prep the area properly and use rubber roller or your thumbs to properly apply it you will still have rattles. Even after fixing that rattle, you will likely find other spots that you didn't notice before.

gl man.

expanding foam is ok to use if you know what you are doing, cuz once you fukked up it's impossible to get off.

I would say I was dead on, I don't think my comments disagreed with yours (I dont think one of my comments was positive) except it comes off the sheet metal OK but sticks like crazy to the paint

X2 I have used it on every build I did (but I am sensitized now so it could kill me if I use it again)

Look I have and many, if not most, SPLers have used it and as long as you are careful it will do what you want. it will fill nooks and crannies that damping mats (damplifier, dynamat) just cant get to.

BTW the second skin will slice up your hands much less than the dynamat (but the cuts will be much deeper) ... and please use the roller

Toulene??

Heavy duty bro, I know some guys the use it to strip fricken airplane paint!! read the saftey sheet on that stuff!!!
I know some other guys that "aren't the same" after working at the airport paint shop for awhile.

The foam seems like a perfect idea for a back half of a van/behind the panels..
I'll wear a chem mask johnV ... rough luck bro.
