A interesting topic?
Just watching the new Compustar giveaway thread from Selective Sound and the internet thread started lately has made me think yet again. Not knocking the site or the vendor here at all either (hope you get some biz out of it guys). It just pisses me off that all the guys who say buy shat online out of the US all flock to the free giveaway signup when offered by a vendor who pays for that right. I would really like to give those guys a e-throat punch (thanks again Tim).

Unfortunately these are the times we live in, not like the early 90's when you could actually make money but we all have to either adapt or just give up. People who price shop don't bother me that much it's just when they start saying I could get it on E-bay for this much, that's what really gets me mad or when you install something and it doesn't work than you find out they got it from e-bay that sucks because now you have twice the work.

Speaking of... the wife has been bugging me about getting a system in there. So I'll need a wiring & dash kit plus other install pieces for the amps.... You guys still crazy busy with starters?

So what install something from e-bay if it dosent work makes twice the work your bill should be twice as much? for that customer. When people bring me stuff and there lets say deck dosent work, so i charge for install + parts...... then dosent work .........most of the time i'll sell them something new and some more labour for the install. Even if you don't sell them something the opportunity comes up when what the bought did't work so if your on your A game make a sale!
If they take it back get it sorted out do your re-install and again more labour
It does suck but at the same time it dosent
